The International Student of the Month for September 2007 is Delphine Bonnet from Universite Jean Monnet located in Saint Etienne, France.

Delphine is a junior majoring in Sociology.

Chile was Delphine’s destination of choice because, “Elegí Chile y la Universidad de Viña del Mar para estudiar al extranjero porque, primero hay un intercambio con mi universidad, y segundo porque querría aprender el castellano. Además, pensaba ir en América latina un día, y este intercambio fue la ocasión para realizar este deseo. Me encanta de descubrir una nueva cultura, la gente chilena que es muy abierta para conversar, y muchos paisajes inmensos y varios que no existen en mi país.”

Delphine stated that her favorite part about her study abroad experiences has been, “Al principio de las clases, fue un poco difícil para entender todo lo que decía el profesor, pero ahora es muy interesante seguir clases de sociología en la UVM.

Por los clases de español, es también interesante porque me permite de aprender las bases de la idioma bastante rápidamente, y estaba una necesitad para seguir mis otros clases.”
